THE HEART OF KALAW
MALUCA is a Burmese brand that began as a passion project in Kalaw, Myanmar. The brand was founded by entrepreneur Mrs. Hla Hla Win and architect Mr. Woraphan Mongkol, who were inspired by the region’s beautiful landscapes and the slow, peaceful lifestyle of Shan State. Their vision was to create a space where nature, craftsmanship, and community could come together.
Starting with MALUCA VILLA, which includes a restaurant, bar, coffee roastery, and natural product showroom. Every element was designed with intention which reflects the founders’ love for premium quality, local ingredients, and meaningful experiences.
MALUCA mission is to share the beauty of Myanmar and Shan State's heritage through unforgettable experiences.
Today, MALUCA has become a cherished part of Kalaw, with our products seen as souvenirs that capture the town's heritage.
OUR NAME
The name "MALUCA" comes from the Portuguese word for "crazy," and it perfectly captures the passion we pour into everything we do.
